Definition 5h564p
The half-bet rule says that if a player puts an amount of chip greater than or equal to one-and-a-half the original amount needed to call, the player is committed to raise.
Example 1w1m2t
The amount for me to call was $4. Mistakenly, I put $7 into the pot. Since it was greater than one-and-a-half the original amount to call, I was committed to fully raise to $8.
