Warning: WeldPhaser 5i4yb

On January 23, WeldPhaser made a post in the BC asking for a transfer on ACR. I decided to help and transferred him some funds that very night. He then said he would reimburse me on PayPal by January 27:

thank you so much man, im gonna pay you on friday night , cool?

I never received it and asked him what was up. He apologized and said:

hey man, i apologize about not throwing you that on friday, i am going to send it on the 1st or friday, no later. again i apologize. and thank you

I did not receive it and still have not received it. He has stopped replying to any of my PMs. The last I've heard from him was January 30.

I should have requested Weld send first, but since it was a low amount and he wanted to play that night, I just decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. I would NOT recommend anyone on FTR initiate any transfer requests from WeldPhaser. If you decide to risk it, make sure he sends first.

Hope this gets resolved to your satisfaction, gmml.

Yah I came here for same reason , to see if he paid, given a hand was since posted.

I'back. I agree his hand analysis posts should be ignored while this is outstanding, and I'd be in favour of a ban if this doesn't get resolved to gmml's satisfaction, in the meantime though we should treat weld with the same respect he was shown before in the hope he sorts out his finances and clears this debt.

As for him playing poker, bonus money or whatever to try and get his shit together. I dunno what's owed, prob fifty bucks, so maybe burning ten bucks to try and get it paid is reasonable behaviour.

But yeah, weld, stop posting hands for the time being. gmml is dog here, you're kinda taking the piss expecting free advice while owing him money.

I don't think anyone has been rude to him.

I am clearly responsible for taking a risk sending first to someone I didn't know. The point of this thread wasn't to shame Weld or claim I was stolen from, but rather to inform the community so it doesn't happen to anyone else.

edit: BTW, I don't think he should be banned, but clearly he isn't making any friends in the community by making false promises and not keeping his word.

Yeah fair enough, both savy and gmml. I only posted that because had it been me in weld's shoes, and people were using like "stolen", I might feel like my back is up against the wall. I guess I feel there is a risk of running him out of town.

Just want you guys to know, that me and Gmml spoke. I was definitely in the wrong. I gave him a couple dates and didn't produce the dough on said dates. I won't go into the whole story, but we talked and worked things out.

I'own up to their mistakes and work to correct them.
It seems that's the case here, so I, for one, hold no lingering thoughts over this.

As far as posting hands when you owed gmml money... that's between you and him.
Nothing anyone else has to say on the subject is really important aside from an idle musing.

Gmml is a big kid, and FTR . If he's not upset, then no one needs to be upset on his behalf.

Just to be clear here, Weld still hasn't paid but I appreciated his honesty in his latest PM explaining his situation, rather than giving me more failed promises. I'grind up and he said he would give me an update on his progress within the next few weeks.

Edit: And yeah, I agree that Weld should be fine posting hands and engaging in strategy discussion. Please post.

tbh, that it hasn't gotten out of hand says a lot about the nature of this forum. It's a good thing. He's under no doubt that fobbing gmml off will result in m glad to be part of a forum where that's the general consensus.

The stupid part of this is the way he has gone about it . If he'd just said I'grind up easily and been given help and coaching to make those profits.
Now gmml is unknowingly his staker with no profit share .

Honestly, no. I'own business and leaving people alone. When it's appropriate though - like being ripped off by some p.o.s. online - I definitely am not opposed to creeping...at the very least.

WeldPhaser is not a p.o.s. Just a dude who got into a funk for a minute and made a couple misclicks.
He has since mended all fences, and is a welcome member of FTR.

I understand and I'm also glad Weld made everything right in the end and it all worked out. I just - like a lot of people - go crazy when the "oh, sorry, I'll have it to you Friday" starts. I can't stand that shit.
